In October, St. Louis Lodge #9 conducted its 6th Annual Flag Retirement Ritual. The somber ceremony was conducted on the front lawn adjacent to the Flagpole and Flag Repository Box by Boy Scouts from neighboring Troop 492, chartered out of Bellerive Elementary PTO. In all, 15 Flags were destroyed in a proper dignified manner. This event was implemented in conjunction with the Americanism and Youth Activities Committees.
