February 2025 Update

The Site Strategy Committee is looking ahead to the new year with more progress and planning for the Lodge Improvement Project.  At January’s meeting the committee has agreed on the following decisions:

1. Use the geotech results from the previous soil investigations for design purposes instead of ordering new and expanded soil boring locations.
2. Set the new project total cost at $1.6M to cover increased construction costs, Creve Coeur Conditional Use Permit requirements, and scope additions.  (The revised cost will be “read” at the next lodge meeting, and a notification will be sent to the lodge membership for an approval vote to be scheduled.)  Options for this funding will be a point of discussion at the next lodge meeting.
3. Release the architect and civil engineer to start construction drawings.

With the new project total cost the committee will be requesting notification for vote to submit the Building Application to the Grand Lodge for approval.  Approval of the final Building Application will enable the committee to spend the balance of the project capital funds collected and from our lender.

The Site Strategy Committee is planning a short informational update at the next major lodge event, the Mouse Races on February 1st.  Besides providing a direct report of the project this update should reinforce confidence in the project’s progress to success.

The project still needs contributions to the Capital Campaign to reach the goal of $450k and keep the construction loan payments in line.  Currently, the campaign is at $383.8k pledged.

No pledge is too small to make a difference, if every member gave just $500 the goal would be within reach!

Pledge forms that are located on the east end of the Club Room can be completed and returned to the office, or at the bar.

The next Site Strategy Committee meeting will be Wednesday February 5th at 6:00pm.
